A Data Management Plan (DMP) is a brief document about how are you going to manage the data in your research project. Wether we are a PhD student or a Senior Researcher on the search for funding, we want to think about the management of the data we are going to generate. The DMP depends on the final purpose of our research:
- As a student, there are several instructions, perhaps for your own institution. A good example can be found at University of Bath (2013). Data Management Plan for PGRs v.1.3. Research 360. http://www.bath.ac.uk/research/data/planning/tools.html
- As a researcher, computerized tools are available as: DMPTool https://dmptool.org/, for USA funders, with some examples published; DMP http://dmponline.dcc.ac.uk/ for European level; and PAGODA for H2020 in Spanish http://www.consorciomadrono.es/pagoda/index.php
